  • One RHS Gold Medal and a World Orchid Conference Bronze for paintings of European and Australian Terrestrial orchids
  • Botanical artist to an expedition to the rainforests of Sumatra
  • Many successful exhibitions in Britain and abroad, notably at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew
  • Work held in collections worldwide, notably the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, The Shirley Sherwood Collection of Contemporary Botanical Art, The RHS and RBG Kew
  • Founder Member, and Honorary Secretary for its first ten years, of the Society of Botanical Artists
  • Has illustrated, or contributed illustrations to, a wide range of publications

  • A committed member of several conservation organisations
  • Travels widely to study and paint native flora in Britain and abroad
